When you arrive, you’ll be welcomed into the collective space and offered water or tea while you settle in. You’re also welcome to use the restroom beforehand if desired.
If you have not already completed your health history and intake forms, your therapist will guide you through filling those out on one of our tablets before your session begins.
From there, you and your therapist will spend a few minutes reviewing your health history, discussing any current concerns, areas of tension, sensitivities, goals for the session, and preferences around pressure, focus areas, communication, or pace of treatment. We understand that every nervous system is different, and your comfort and sense of safety are important to us.
Your therapist will then explain their general plan for the session before stepping out of the room so you may dress down to your personal comfort level and get settled onto the table beneath the sheets and blankets provided. After a few minutes, your therapist will knock before re-entering the room to begin the session.
Each treatment is tailored to your individual needs, comfort level, and therapeutic goals on that particular day.
After the session, your therapist will step out again while you slowly get up and dressed. Clients are encouraged to take their time transitioning afterward, especially if they are feeling deeply relaxed or grounded from the work. Once you’re ready, you can open the door and your therapist will reconnect with you, offer water, discuss any aftercare recommendations, and help with rebooking if desired.
For general maintenance and stress management, many clients benefit from massage every 2–4 weeks. For chronic pain, high stress, physically demanding jobs, or nervous system support, more frequent sessions may be beneficial.
Massage therapy can support relaxation and nervous system regulation by helping the body shift out of chronic stress states. Many clients notice improved sleep, reduced muscle tension, and a greater sense of calm after sessions.
Massage should never feel unsafe or intolerable. Some therapeutic work may feel intense in areas of chronic tension, but your therapist will always work within a range that feels productive and supportive for your body.
Yes. We offer prenatal massage sessions called The Divine, designed to support the physical and emotional changes that occur during pregnancy.
These sessions focus on comfort, relaxation, circulation, nervous system support, and relieving common areas of tension that can develop throughout pregnancy. Sessions are always adjusted to your comfort level and stage of pregnancy to help you feel safe, supported, and cared for throughout the experience.
That’s entirely up to you. Some clients enjoy conversation, while others prefer quiet rest. Your session is your time, and we are here to honor that. If you ever feel like you'd prefer a quiet session, please feel free to communicate that with your therapist during your intake. We will not be offended!
At Homebody Wellness Collective, we believe lasting wellness involves more than just muscle work. The nervous system plays a major role in tension, stress patterns, pain, sleep, and emotional well-being. Our approach blends therapeutic bodywork with nervous system awareness to create deeper, more sustainable relief.
